Hermitage, Pennsylvania (September 1, 2024) – WallacePancher Group, a 57-person engineering firm based in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, joined The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG).
WallacePancher Group co-owners, Daniel P. Wallace, PE, and Brian K. Pancher, chose MSG because the two firms share a focus on providing value and innovative solutions to clients’ problems. WallacePancher provides land development engineering, environmental compliance services, municipal engineering, surveying, transportation and structural engineering, and landscape architecture and planning. Wallace and Pancher founded WPG as a basement startup in 2001, growing it into a dynamic, multi-discipline firm today.
“We worked hard to build an engineering and environmental services company that works in many different sectors within the engineering industry and always knew that a future step in our company’s evolution was to join a large company that shares our culture and dedication to our customers. MSG is that company and they will help us continue to grow and provide new opportunities for our employees,” said Dan Wallace.
WallacePancher’s established engineering and environmental capabilities along with their geographic presence in Western Pennsylvania and Northern Ohio align with MSG’s long-term strategic growth plan. MSG’s Aric Bennett, Chief Strategy & Growth Officer, appreciates their comprehensive in-house environmental, transportation and municipal design services.
“WallacePancher expands our depth through their talented staff and long standing client relationships. Together we will provide our clients with a wider range of services. Their staff will enhance our “Technical Skill and Creative Spirit,” as we seek to be our clients’ trusted advisor,” Bennett said. “Their culture fits well with MSG and we welcome their expertise to the team.”
During the transition, WallacePancher will be known as WallacePancher Group, a Division of Mannik & Smith, Inc. WPG is known for its commitment to growth, and has previously acquired Richland Engineering, Ltd., Hays Landscape Architecture Studio, and Mackay Engineering & Surveying.
“Joining MSG opens doors to a large pool of expertise that will significantly benefit our clients,” Dan Wallace said. “It’s about providing a richer, more comprehensive service experience.”
”The new opportunities that will be afforded to our existing employee base and a path to stable future growth were important factors in deciding who WPG would partner with. I couldn’t be more pleased with the merging of theses two companies that have developed such a tremendous reputation for excellence”, said Brian Pancher, co-founder of WPG.
Staff at WallacePancher Group will continue to operate from their respective offices in Hermitage, Cranberry Township, and Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, and Mansfield and Cleveland, Ohio, ensuring uninterrupted service for clients.
