UM Unveils Mcity

The future of transportation has arrived at the University of Michigan with the unveiling of Mcity — a one-of-a-kind test track for connected and automated vehicles. MSG has been involved with the $10M project from preliminary planning efforts through site layout, roadway and utility design, signalization, landscaping, lighting, and construction administration. Inside the miniature city are a variety of traffic scenarios including roundabouts, intersections and railroad crossings. According to University officials, the facility underscores Michigan's emergence as a leader in advanced mobility.
