Total Eclipse - August 21, 2017

Safety first! On Monday August 21, the moon will pass between the sun and Earth and cast 70-mile-wide shadow (totality path) across the United States. Most of the country, however, will observe a partial solar eclipse. To enjoy this event safely, everyone needs to wear a pair of eclipse safety glasses that meet requirements for ISO 12312-2:2015, intended for direct observation of the sun. NEVER look directly at the sun without appropriate eyewear. Regular sunglasses are not safe to view the eclipse, no matter how brief a glimpse. None of the 11 MSG offices are in the path of totality, but our clients, friends, family and employees in Ohio and Michigan will see substantial coverage (weather permitting). The next eclipse to cut through the U.S. will be on April 8, 2024. For more eclipse information and interactive map visit NASA’s site.
