Re-Piecing the Past: Ohio Archaeology Day

MSG celebrated Ohio Archaeology Day at the Ohio History Connection in Columbus. We had a “Re-Piecing the Past,” fun family-friendly activity for ages 6 and up at our booth. Participants designed their own plate using a paper plate and crayons. An adult then “shattered” the plate by cutting it up and placing it in an ‘artifact’ bag. Our junior archaeologists then tried to reassemble the plate looking at the shapes of the pieces and the design as clues.
