Project Highlight: DRCFA's COBO Center

MSG served as the lead Civil and Structural Engineering consultant for Roadway, Bridge and Infrastructure improvements for the Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority (DRCFA). MSG was responsible for all exterior public improvements surrounding COBO Center. The Washington Boulevard & Civic Center Drive Reconfiguration was a significant portion of the exterior improvements completed at COBO Center. From the inception of the COBO Center Capital Improvement Program in 2012, MSG provided professional engineering services for the exterior improvements which included the abandonment of the existing Civic Center Drive, the renovations to the Underground Parking Garage, the construction of the drop-off circle and additional traffic lanes at the former intersection of Civic Center Drive and Washington Boulevard, the traffic turnaround on Civic Center Drive and the bridge rehabilitation on the Washington Boulevard Bridge over M-10.
