MSG was proud to be a Gold Level Sponsor at OTEC 2016: 70 Years of Innovation and Beyond, which was held at Greater Columbus Convention Center. For 70 years, OTEC has been the place for transportation professionals to learn about and discuss new ways to safely and efficiently move people and goods throughout the state. Attended by over 3,750 people nationwide, OTEC is organized to provide something for everyone interested in Ohio’s transportation industry.
MSG's Project Manager Jean Hartline, PE, PTOE, presented “Making the Case for a SPUI at the US 20 I-475 Interchange”. Jean discussed the planning process behind the design and construction of this $38M interchange project in Lucas County.
MSG's Project Manager Chris Homan, PE, presented on the picturesque “Road 17C Bridge over the Miami and Erie Canal”. Chris discussed the process involved in working with the Henry County Engineer to determine the bridge type, which had to take into account the hydraulics of the nearby Maumee River, unique geotechnical considerations, and the need for accelerated bridge construction.
