Nancy Posavatz - New Corporate Health & Safety Manager

MSG is pleased to announce the appointment of Nancy Posavatz as Corporate Health and Safety Officer (CHSO) and Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), filling the vacancy that Thomas E Peters, CPG, CHMM left upon his retirement. Nancy started with MSG over 12 years ago as a Project Manager in the Canton Geoenvironmental Group. As part of MSG’s people-first approach, she is promoted from within our nearly 500-member firm.
Prior to working at MSG, Nancy served as the Company Health and Safety Manager and Applied Research Director for an environmental engineering firm for 9 years, and Senior Faculty Research Assistant at Oregon State University for 10 years. She is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Project Management Professional (PMP), and has a strong knowledge of chemistry, hazardous waste operations, radioactive materials handling, radiation safety, environmental emergency response and OSHA compliance and workplace safety.
Nancy will play a crucial role in promoting a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with OSHA guidelines in the workplace at each of MSG’s 16 offices. Her efforts will focus on both behavioral and procedural awareness for employees. Her goals are to increase worker participation, ensure a safe working environment and prevent injuries and accidents.
In her spare time, Nancy enjoys hiking, biking and working with her hands. She attended Michigan State University (B.S.) and Oregon State University (M.S.) and is a native of the City of Detroit and Bellaire, Michigan.
