MSG’s Cultural Resources Group Prepares Archaeological Collections for Permanent Curation

MSG’s Cultural Resources group often prepares archaeological collections for permanent curation at museum facilities throughout Michigan and Ohio. Our archaeology lab is fully equipped with the archival supplies needed to properly label and package artifacts. This particular collection is being donated for curation to the Ohio History Connection, a statewide nonprofit that focuses on preserving and sharing Ohio’s local and regional history and the home of Ohio’s State Historic Preservation Office. Museum curation is an important final step in many Section 106 compliance projects, ensuring that scientists and historians of the future have the data necessary to document and expand upon our understanding of the human experience.
