MSG Strengthens Team with Geoenvironmental Leader

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) announces the appointment of Jay T. Simonds, PG as Senior Project Manager, a move that further strengthens the management team as the multi-disciplined firm enters its next phase of growth.
Jay is an accomplished professional geologist, having served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), with acute skills in all aspects of environmental remediation and contracting with a specialization in the assessment of contaminated properties, evaluation, design, installation and operation of contaminant remediation systems. He brings over 26 years of progressive experience in Geoenvironmental Services, as well as Shale Oil and Gas Services.

Jay's field of expertise includes program and project management, contaminant hydrogeology, subsurface contaminant remediation, soil and groundwater sampling, drilling and field operations, data evaluation, asset management, financial projections, office/personnel management and environmental risk management. He has managed projects in 26 different states for a variety of clients, including local and state governments, major oil companies, and industrial facilities. His responsibilities include geoenvironmental business development, budget development, technical management, business risk management, personnel management, subcontractor development, field operations and technical report review. Jay enjoys helping family and friends with home improvement projects and traveling.
