Please join in on congratulating Rachel L. Gregg and Christopher M. Zangara, PE on their accomplishment of becoming the newest shareholders at The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc.(MSG).
Rachel L. Gregg, Vice President of Human Resources joined MSG in 2003 and has a clear understanding of our most important asset – our people. As the leader of our Human Resources effort for more than 350 employees, her role is critical to encouraging a culture that promotes opportunity, development and growth. Rachel leads our Leadership Development Program and our Strategic Planning Staff and Culture Pillar and is a member of our COVID-19 Task Force. She also spearheaded MSG’s Catalytic Coaching performance review program and our MSG Gets Fit active lifestyle initiative. Rachel holds a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Bowling Green State University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Akron. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies - Ohio Human Resources Committee.
Christopher M. Zangara, PE, Vice President, was recently promoted to serve as our firm-wide Bridge Group Manager. During his 24-year career with MSG, Chris has provided senior level management, complex engineering design and team coordination for transportation, municipal, and private sector clients in Michigan and Ohio. Chris is a registered Professional Engineer and a member of the Michigan Society of Professionals Engineers, where he served as president of the Southeastern Michigan Chapter. He specializes in structural engineering design related to vehicular, railroad, and pedestrian bridges and specialized structures. Chris also supervises and engineers projects involving bridge inspection, load ratings, foundation analysis, retaining wall design, hydraulic analysis and design, shoreline restoration, seawall projects, county drain improvements, and other transportation-related projects. Chris continues to act as a trusted advisor to the clients of MSG as he works to utilize technical skill and creative spirit through experience and understanding of client expectations on each and every project regardless of size and complexity.
