MSG can assist you with Funding!

Have you heard? Ohio allotted another $350 Million to the Brownfield Remediation Program, administered by the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD)! MSG is committed to revitalizing communities, and can assist your organization in applying for this funding. Specifically, we can help with project feasibility studies and assessments, funding strategies and the application process, environmental cleanup solutions, reporting protocols and managing the overall project.

Here are some changes to expect:

• Each county will have a designated lead applicant responsible for application submittals for that county.

1. For counties with populations of 100,000 or fewer residents, the county commission board will recommend lead applicants;
2. For counties with populations of 100,000 or more residents, county land banks will serve as lead applicants; and
3. If counties with populations of 100,000 or more do not have a land bank, the county commission board will recommend a lead applicant.

• $1M will be set aside for each Ohio county in FY2024 and FY2025.
• An application schedule has yet to be solidified, but the current expected opening date is January 1, 2024.
• Can you apply as a private entity? This remains undecided. Please stay tuned.
