MDOT & MSG to Modify US12 & Wiard Road

MSG contracted with MDOT to study and develop concepts for modifying US-12 and Wiard Road infrastructure, as well as interfacing with the public, at an informational open house meeting in Ypsilanti Township in Washtenaw County. The roadway modifications are necessary in order to accommodate envisioned testing and research associated with connected and automated vehicles at the American Center for Mobility (ACM). The roadway modifications are anticipated to have minor impacts on existing traffic mobility and will include a roundabout and traffic signals. The Center is planning to use the nearby site that once housed the Willow Run Bomber Plant as a connected and autonomous vehicle site.
