Liberty Bridge - 20 Years in the Making...

The Liberty Bridge was officially dedicated and opened to the public in November in Henry County, Ohio. Our very own Chris Homan was the Project Manager for this project - that is 20 years in the making. “It’s pretty special to me because it’s local, and I’ve been working on it my whole career.” said Chris. MSG provided many of our services for the Liberty Bridge which include, overall lead bridge design, environmental site assessments, geotechnical investigations, archeological/cultural resource services, surveying, NEPA planning and landscape architecture. Rich Spino, MSG Lead Bridge Design Engineer was the GFRP engineer for the new bridge deck featuring the new technology developed by Owens-Corning of Toledo in which fiberglass rebar is used instead of the traditional types. This bridge will likely become a model for future design and construction projects around the country! We also provided road design for the roundabouts at both ends of the bridge.
