EPA Region 5 is overseeing a cleanup of PCB-contaminated soils and sediments approximately one mile from Otsego, Michigan’s Middle School. To educate students about stewardship of the environment, EPA provided the opportunity for 30 - 7th and 8th grade students from the middle school to interact with professionals involved in the project from various disciplines via in-class presentations and two site visits. Shown below is MSG’s Dan Capone working with students to collect simulated soil samples.
