Earth Day - April 22nd

Celebrating Earth Day! The subwatershed encompassing Otter Creek in Oregon, Ohio, will benefit from an urban runoff capture and treatment system designed by MSG. Storm water will be intercepted from the residential and commercial neighborhoods and routed to a newly constructed 2.1-acre wetland system. The project will reduce pollutants and streambank erosion while creating habitat for wildlife. A walking path and landscaping with native plantings will provide recreational opportunities for local residents. The City received a $499,977 grant from the US EPA through the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) for the project.
