Dean Niese - New Chairman

We are pleased to announce Chief Operations Officer (COO) Dean M. Niese, PE, as our new Chairman of the Board. Dean replaces C. Michael Smith, PE, in the role of Chairman; Mike has been named Chairman Emeritus. Dean joined MSG in 1984 and was named a shareholder in 1992. He will continue to serve as COO, a position he has held since 2005. “As MSG continues to grow it is critical to our clients and staff to further solidify our management to take advantage of the broad range of talents within our firm,” said Mike. “Dean’s history with our firm and his understanding of the engineering industry are a tremendous asset and will help us build upon our successes in the future.” In addition to his involvement with local and national engineering organizations, Dean is also active in the Rotary Club of Toledo, where he serves on the Board of Directors, and the Toledo Regional Architects, Contractors & Engineers organization, which recently merged into Cogence Alliance.
