Boxing Out Hunger for Cherry Street Mission

MSG's Maumee office ended its fall food drive for their Community Engagement Charity, Cherry Street Mission, on Friday, November 6th, with an all-out, winning effort by the Geoenvironmental Group. Cherry Street Mission's Box Out Hunger campaign solicits donations for holiday food boxes to ensure needy families enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving feast and MSG's donations will help to make that a reality.
The Geoenvironmental Group had to go all out to defeat the powerhouse Transportation Group. A pickup truck full of more than 1,000 cans of green beans and corn and a table full of yams and instant potatoes put the Geoenvironmental Group over the top in a last ditch effort that stunned the office and shattered the Transportation Group's dreams of another victory.
"If this doesn't do it nothing else will," commented Geoenvironmental's Wes Speiser as he unveiled the canned goods in his pickup truck barely an hour before the contest ended. The Transportation Group took the victory in stride and congratulated the victors in a contest that resulted in the collection of 1,585 cans of corn and green beans, 154 cans of yams, and 71 boxes of instant potatoes for the food boxes. An additional 29 canisters of coffee were also collected for the Mission's soup kitchen. http://www.cherrystreetmission...
