Austin Barga promoted to Agricultural Market Leader
Hand selected by his mentor, Austin Barga proudly moves into a new role as Agricultural Market Leader for MSG. He will oversee the continued development of this growing market, building on the existing success of Dave Gerdeman and the entire MSG agricultural group. Dave Gerdeman intends to continue working and supporting the team as part of an incremental transition to retirement.
Austin Barga first joined Dave Gerdeman’s team in March 2018 and has continually grown as a leader and client-focused project manager. Looking toward the future, Barga and the team intend to maintain their strong market presence and continued growth in agricultural and digester development along with a focus on further expanding Agricultural market reach in Indiana.
“Austin has a customer-first attitude that clients appreciate, as well as the experience, dedication and knowledge to help them solve the issues facing today’s growing agricultural operations,” said Dave Gerdeman, outgoing Agricultural Market Leader.
The team typically provides concrete and earthen farm structure design while offering specialized agriculture permitting assistance. Along with these specialized engineering services, what further sets our team apart is our extensive understanding of farm and manure management operations, especially dairy farms.
“I love assisting my clients with their waste management systems and developing new technologies. It’s rewarding to help both livestock operations and industrial entities create more efficient facilities. We’re leading the way with renewable natural gas digesters,” said Barga.
“I’ve led more than 150 successful permit applications, which means I can streamline ODA/EPA permitting process for my clients, helping to keep them in compliance while expanding their operations,” explained Barga.
Barga holds a Bachelors degree in Earth and Environmental Science from Wright State University. He lives in Fort Loramie, Ohio and works from MSG’s Minster, Ohio office.
