Job Location: Detroit, MI

Candidates for this position will be working in a collaborative team environment located in the heart of Detroit’s bustling downtown. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar with 3 to 10 years’ experience in civil/site engineering. Basic job duties include assisting the design staff in the design engineering and plan preparation (CADD) of commercial, industrial, energy and municipal projects in a digital environment, performing and checking various design calculations and performing various tasks as they relate to preparing a design package. Responsibilities include preparing front end feasibility documents, due diligence reports and zoning studies, project development, storm water modeling and design, cost estimates and detailed design plans. Must have strong communication skills (oral and written) and proficiency at working in a vibrant and multi-faceted team environment. Experience with industry design standards, guidelines and specifications (e.g. MDOT, City of Detroit preferred, etc.) and knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or Microstation/Geopak required.
